This tour is simply fascinating! How is it that the worlds largest retailer, Wal-Mart, started and still makes it's world headquarters here in this little town? The Walton Family is still ranked as the Wealthiest Family in the World. And if you knew the family or know anything about them, you would never know they were rich.
This tour is our newest and fastest growing local tour, and for good reason. We visit Sam's first store in Bentonville, which was a 5 and 10 Store, which now serves as The Walmart Visitors Center. This is a small and simple museum, but it is very interesting and insightful. You will see Sam's office and his old truck.
This tour will take approximately 4 to 5 hours
This tour really is a MUST DO thing for your group while you're in Branson. We tell the story of the early settlers and those the first started and helped shape the music industry in Branson, but also talk about Branson first tourist attraction and the book that really started it all in 1907. We make stops at the Dewey Short Visitors Center at Table Rock Dam, as well as a beautiful scenic overlook and then The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks. We also take you through Hollister, MO and then into downtown Branson, where we will see and talk about where and why Branson got started. This tour takes approximately 3 hours.
Travel through the narrow, winding streets of Eureka Springs Historic District onboard the tram and see and learn about many of the beautiful old homes and buildings, as well as fun and interesting facts and stories about this amazing town that Robert Ripley of Ripley's Believe it or Not, called one of the 10 most unusual cities he every visited in the USA. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and departs from the Transit Office (see map)
This tour is by far our most popular tour. This tour is only available for groups of 15 or more people that is traveling in one vehicle, such as a van or motor coach.
We do approximately 2 hours of step-on guide service onboard your vehicle, where we make stops at Thorncrown Chapel and Christ of the Ozarks Statue at the Passion Play area. We then board the tram for a 90 min. tram tour of the historic district. Stops at Crescent Hotel and Grotto Spring. This tours lasts 3 1/2 hours.
